I love having Sarah in my classroom! I wish EVERY day were Tuesday or Thursday, not because I look forward to my free trip to the bathroom, but because she is precious and I am loving the little bit of discussions we are able to have in between lessons. So far, she has skimmed through all my teacher's guides and looked at my "survival notebook" that I use to organize my plans/documents for the week. She has also graded a few papers, organized a LOT of papers, observed some okay lessons as well as a few bad ones. Sarah is now in charge of changing the classroom jobs every other Monday morning and keeping the record of that for the year.
I look forward to mentoring her this year and pray that she enjoys her time in fifth grade.

Oh yeah! Today when I went to the bathroom, the intruder alert was made. I had NO CLUE since there is not an intercom in stall number one. I realized what was going on as I came back down the hall. Sarah already had the kids safe and almost locked me out! WAY TO GO GIRL! She could soooo do this. I hope she is my teaching partner when she graduates from college!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes that was interesting. Mrs. Audrey I love helping with your class! Just in these few weeks, I can already tell that this is what I want to do! I love working with children, isn't amazing how God puts you in the right place at the right time? I feel blessed to have the opportunity to help in the fifth grade class!
ReplyDeleteYeah, so far I have had a really good time being in the 4th grade class! The kids are really sweet and hilarious! So far I can see myself as being a teacher after college. I'm really enjoying this elective :)
