Personally, don't tell the other teachers but this is my favorite elective. I seriously can't wait til Tuesday and Thursday 6th period. =]
I have been observing, grading here and there. And... the other day Mrs. Hooten surprised me by making me read Greek mythology to the class. I have no problem being up front, or being put on the spot but I couldn't say half the words in the story. O well, hope the kids liked it.
I love my class, I call them "my kids" but I guess you love every class that you have, I guess it's not like being in high school were you have that one class you dread (not that we have those at our school).
Anyways, I'm probably rambling but I really do enjoy being in the class environment and being able to observe Mrs. Hooten and see aspects of teaching that I had never thought about before.
Especially how to make your planner all nice and pretty and smelling good. ;)

Sarah, I really enjoy having you in my class as well. The students always ask if you are coming today. I think they are finally remembering that it is only on Tuesday and Thursday. I think they wish it was three days a week. They did enjoy you reading the Greek Mythology. They like it when you interact with them.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that I can give you such interesting advice. There is nothing like a coffee stained, oh, I mean, decorated lesson plan book. =o) It does smell good though!!
Delilah! Are you one-upping me again with decorative lesson plans!!???
